Raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, Tyrone first discovered a love of music at church and began singing in the choir and studying piano from an early age. While at a rehearsal for Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker, he was fully bitten by the music bug and dreamed of being a Classical Pianist. He soon began playing trumpet in middle school and then dreamed of becoming a Virtuosic Orchestral Trumpeter, yet he maintained a desire to act and sing. This desire manifested while he pursued an undergrad degree in trumpet. While in college, Tyrone had the opportunity to perform in a various of ways (Concert Choir, op cover group) and around the world (Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, Carnegie Hall, South Africa Tour with student Brass Quintet) and won various awards (Concerto Competition & Conducting Competition). After graduating and earning an B.M. in Trumpet Performance (2018), he began taking acting classes, receiving vocal coaching, and started to pursue performing full time. Starting in community theatre, he quickly began working professionally. Tyrone has been apart of numerous Regional Theatre productions, worked in Cruise Ship entertainment, and is beginning to work Internationally. Tyrone is based in New York, NY and London, UK. Going forward, Tyrone wants to create art that shows blackness in all its beauty & complexity, is vibrant - visceral - challenging, and creates conversations that will lead to positive change in the world.
